NGC 6045 (also ARP 71, UGC 10177, MCG+03-41-088 and PGC 57031) is a magnitude +13.9 spiral galaxy located 459 million light-years away in the constellation Hercules. Together with PGC 84720 (also called NGC 6045B) it forms Arp 71.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Lewis Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 27th June 1886.
