NGC 6897 (IRAS 20182-1224, MCG -2-52-1 i PGC 64513) is a +13.8 magnitude spiral galaxy located 264 million light-years away in the constellation Capricornus.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) reflector in Malta on the 28th June 1863.
