Sir Patrick Moore is reportedly on the shortlist to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house.
The Sky At Night presenter is expected to join Austin Powers star Verne Troyer among other contestants when the show gets underway on January 2, reports The Mirror.

Astronomer Sir Patrick Moore is lending his support to a campaign to help bereaved children in Sussex.
Winston's Wish is asking people to buy one of its Christmas tree stars to celebrate someone special in their life as part of its Wish Upon a Star campaign.
The charity, which provides services for bereaved children and their families, is inviting schools, businesses and other groups to send off for a pack of the stars, which they can then display on a tree or garland.

Sir Patrick Moore, is to be fitted with a pace-maker on Thursday in a routine operation.

According to his agent, Robert Voice, Sir Patrick was in "good form".

"There's nothing to be concerned about; it wasn't an emergency"

TV astronomer Sir Patrick Moore, host of The Sky at Night, is admitted to hospital with heart problems.
He is being treated at a hospital in Chichester, West Sussex, after being admitted last night.
