NGC 2787 (also IRAS 09148+6924, UGC 4914 and PGC 26341) is a magnitude +11.8 barred lenticular galaxy located 24 ± 4 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.
The galaxy was discovered by the German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road in Slough, Berkshire, on the 3rd December 1788.
