NGC 2598 (also known as MCG 4-20-65, PGC 23855 and UGC 4443) is a magnitude +13.6 inclined barred spiral galaxy located 212 million light-years away in the constellation Cancer. The galaxy is located near to the double star NGC 2597.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) reflector in Malta on the 1st January 1864.
