NGC 6446 (also MCG 6-39-18, ARAK 528 and PGC 60825) is a magnitude +15.2 spiral galaxy located 311 million light-years away in the constellation Hercules. 
The galaxy is gravitationally interacting with the neighbouring galaxy NGC 6447

The galaxy is listed in the catalogue of 'Galaxies of high surface brightness' (Arakelian galaxies) as ARAK 528

The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) speculum reflector at William Lassell's Tigné Point observatory in Sliema, Malta, on the 9th July 1864

Right Ascension 17h  46m  07.5s, Declination +35° 34' 10"
