Comet P/2006 T1 (Levy) will make a close pass (74.4 lunar distances, 0.1911 AU), travelling at 15.46 km/second, to the Earth-Moon system on the 21st January, 2012 @ 17:31 UT ±13:58.

The magnitude 20 Comet P/2006 T1 (Levy) will pass 20 arc minutes from the magnitude 9 spiral galaxy NGC 7331 in the constellation Pegasus, on the 2nd December, 2011.

Comet P/2006 T1 (Levy) is a periodic comet with an orbital period of 5.24 years. It last came to perihelion (closest approach to the Sun) on 7 October 2006. During the 2006 passage the comet only achieved an apparent magnitude of ~9.5. Levy (PK06T010) was believed to have been recovered on 03 June 2011 at magnitude 19.8, but other observatories have been unable to confirm a recovery. It has not been observed since 01 December 2006, and only has a confirmed observation arc of 60 days.
