A magnitude 15.3 supernova, 2006my, was discovered on the 8th November, 2006, by Koichi Itagaki in the 11.2 magnitude spiral galaxy NGC 4651 (Arp 189) in the constellation Coma Berenices.
The supernova is located 27" west and 22".5 south of the centre of the galaxy.

Position(2000): R.A. = 12h43m40s.74, Dec. = +16°23'14.1

As yet the type is unknown
