NASA Updates Prelaunch Events For Mars Science Lab Mission
NASA has updated the news conferences, events and operating hours for the press site at NASA's Kennedy Space Centre, Fla., for the agency's Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) Curiosity rover launch. NASA will use South Africa's satellite tracking services
Next Friday, the Mars Science Laboratory attached to a rocket launcher will blast off into space from the Kennedy Space Centre in the US. Twenty minutes after the official count down, the staff at the South African National Space Agency (Sansa) will use their radio antenna and highly specialised computers to monitor the separation of the laboratory from its launch rocket.
