The star of Bethlehem or Christmas star or Jesus star has fascinated people for centuries. Whether the star was a miracle, an astronomical event or just an inspiring and powerful story also has been the subject of disputes throughout the ages.
Frederick Larson, a Texas attorney and adjunct professor at Texas A&M University, thinks he has proved the existence of the Christmas star. His findings are in an hour-long documentary, The Star of Bethlehem, that attributes the star to an unusual grouping of Jupiter, Venus and the star Regulus in 2 B.C.
