NASA news conference

NASA is to hold a news conference to present new findings on the composition of the icy plumes of Saturn's moon Enceladus. The findings were obtained during the closest flyby of the moon by the Cassini spacecraft on March 12th, 2008.
The news conference will be at 2 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, March 26, and take place in the NASA Headquarters television studio, 300 E St., S.W., Washington.
The news conference will be also broadcast live on NASA Television.

The magnitude 13 asteroid  (45) Eugenia and its two satellites occult the magnitude 5.7 star SAO 94227 (HIP 23043), at 5:32 - 5:45 UT, March 9, 2008.
The event will be visible  along a track stretching across the entire Pacific, starting over Indonesia. Observers in Mexico  should  have an excellent view at just after  5:43 UT.

On March 17th, the asteroid 1620 Geographos will make a close approach to Earth (49 lunar distances, 0.125 AU). The 5.1 x 1.8 kilometre sized asteroid should be visible as a magnitude 13 star in 8 or larger telescopes.
