In addition to producing one of the broadest selections of affordable riflescopes on the market today, Weaver also offers compact and lightweight binoculars for the outdoor enthusiast.
Binocular selection is a compromise. I've used 8x30 binoculars, which are lightweight, compact and easy to carry but lack the magnification and light gathering ability that I want. I've also used 8x56 binoculars, which gather so much light that they allow you to see reasonably well on a moonlit night. The downside is they're so heavy they feel like a brick around your neck.

The second set of Leupold binoculars I tested are the Tactical - Military 10x50 model. This set of glasses is part of Leupold's "Green Ring" lineup, meaning they are manufactured overseas to Leupold's design and specifications. The feature of the Tactical - Military model that caught my eye is the addition of a rangefinding reticle. I've used other binoculars with rangefinding reticles in the past, with mostly unsatisfactory results. Read more
