An almighty blast rang through the skies. On that day 10 years ago, Greg Brown thought an LPG tanker had exploded and ran to see if his neighbour was still alive. Inside the house, Betty Brown was convinced a bomb had gone off as the windows first sucked in, then out.
It was a meteorite entering the Earth's atmosphere.
It was never found, but speculation was it had landed in bush not far from the Browns' Waverley farm.
