Comet 2008 FK75 (Lemmon-Siding Spring) was discovered on July 1, 2008 by the Mount Lemmon Survey, and catalogued as an asteroid under the designation of 2008 FK75. The object was also independently discovered on July 1, 2007 and identified as a comet by J. Young and Mr. Hicks (Table Mountain Observatory) and Robert E. Holmes (Astronomical Research Observatory, Charleston). The orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on September 20, 2010 at a distance of 4.5 AU from the Sun.
