Astronomers at Chabot Space & Science Centre have joined an elite team of cosmic watchdogs. Scanning the night sky for objects that could one day cross paths with our planet, a telescope at Chabot is now used to contribute to the International Astronomical Union Minor Planet Centre's search for asteroids and comets that may eventually pose a risk of striking the Earth.
