The 70 - 160 metre wide asteroid 2005 VN made a close pass (61.2 lunar distances, 0.1572 AU) travelling at 16.14 km/second, to the Earth-Moon system on the 14th November 2014 @ 04:44 UT ±00:01.

The Lunar Distance (LD), the distance between Earth and the Moon, equals 384,401 km, (or 0.00256 AU).

The (H= 22.9) 72 m - 160 m wide asteroid 2005 VN is predicted to make a flyby (0.0104 AU, 4.1 LD) of the Earth Moon system on the 29th October, 2008.
The Apollo asteroid was discovered by LINEAR - Lincoln Laboratory ETS, New Mexico, on the 2nd November 2005.
