The Twelve Apostles can be found just North of Dumfries. It is one of the largest stone circles in Britain and the largest on Mainland Scotland. In this clip a Gaelic speaking gentleman gives us the low-down on some of the history and folklore attached to the site.
The Twelve Apostles in Nithsdale near Dumfries has a diameter of 88metres which makes it the largest stone circle on the Scottish mainland. It lies a few kilometres north of Dumfries, and is cut in two by a modern field boundary.
