Northern California native Steve Robinson is preparing to come down from outer space, possibly for the last time.
As flight engineer aboard space shuttle Endeavour, Robinson spent 14 days problem-solving and installing new modules on the International Space Station.

As Endeavour's crew works through what could be its last full day in orbit, NASA managers are monitoring less-than-perfect weather forecasts on the ground.
Preliminary plans would give Endeavour two chances to land late Sunday at Kennedy Space Centre, at 10:16 p.m. or 11:51 p.m.

Space shuttle Endeavour and its six-member crew are expected to return to Earth on Sunday, Feb. 21 after a 14-day mission. NASA managers will evaluate weather conditions at NASA's Kennedy Space Centre in Florida before permitting Endeavour to land.
Sunday landing opportunities at Kennedy are at 10:16 p.m. and 11:51 p.m. EST. There are additional opportunities at 1:20 a.m. and 2:55 a.m. EST Monday at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., a backup landing site.

Shuttle crew to return to Earth

The space shuttle Endeavour crew has parted ways with colleagues on the International Space Station (ISS) and will depart early on Saturday morning.
Astronauts closed the hatch between the station and shuttle early on Friday morning and will undock at 0054 GMT.
