According  to the Angolan Minister of Telecom and Information Technologies Jose Carvalho da Rocha, Angola is to launch a multi-sectoral support telecom satellite in January 2009.
During his ministry's yearend meeting, the minister said Angola "will start in January 2009 the commercial launching of the satellite telecommunication system of multi-sectoral support (Infrasat)."
