Large meteor registered between the Norwegian mainland and Svalbard
"The large meteor that entered the atmosphere North of Norway on the 15th January, at 20:40 local time, was recorded by all our infrastructure sound stations, says professor emeritus Ludwik Liszka at the Institute of Space Physics in Umeå. One hour after the event Professor Liszka localised the event's position. The signal came from an area about halfway between the Norwegian mainland and Svalbard, spread along the meteors re-entry path."
