The Chinese government will grant Indonesia a remote sensing satellite to help monitor and provide early detections on events taking place in the sea, an official said.

"China will grant Indonesia a satellite for monitoring happenings and developments in the sea. With the satellite, Indonesia`s sensing capability at sea would be increased" - Tri Yuswoyo, Head of the National Sea Security Coordination Agency (Bakormala).
