A possible magnitude 17.5 supernova was discovered by Alessandro Dimai (CROSS) on the 14th April, 2009, in the galaxy UGC3309 in the constellation Camelopardalis.
The supernova is located 10' north from the centre of the galaxy.

Position(2000): RA 05 29 13.80, Dec +67 22 32.5
