The nova has been confirmed by several observers

Position(2000): RA= 05 31 26.42, Dec = -67 05 39.4

The possible nova in the Large Magellanic Cloud was discovered by W. Liller (Chile).

A possible magnitude 12 nova has been discovered in the Large Magellanic Cloud, on the 4th May, 2009.

Position(2000): RA = 05 31.4, Dec =  -67° 06
