Confirmed:

A magnitude 17.2 supernova, 2009fi, was discovered by Tom Boles in the spiral galaxy PGC 50294 (2MASX J14060661+1147214) in the constellation Bootes. 
As yet the type is  unknown.

A possible magnitude 17.7  supernova was discovered on the 30th May, 2009 in the spiral galaxy PGC 50294 (2MASX J14060661+1147214) in the constellation Bootes. 
The supernova is located 11" West and  6" South from the center of the galaxy

Position(2000): RA 14 06 05.80, Dec  +11 47 13.9
z = 0.016151
