A magnitude 16.3 supernova, 2009gh, was been discovered on the 17th June, 2009, by D. Rich, in the galaxy MCG +12-18-2 in the constellation Lepus. The supernova is located 1.4" West and 9.1" South from the center of the galaxy. As yet the type is unknown.
Another supernova, 2006hb, was discovered in the galaxy in 2006.
