Removal of a Proton-M rocket with the QuetzSat-1 satellite

Transporting took place on the 26th September, 2011, of the "Proton-M"rocket  with "QuetzSat1" satellite to the launch complex (LC) platform 200, Baikonur Cosmodrome. 

Launch of the "Proton-M" rocket with the upper stage "Briz-M" and  QuetzSat-1 satellite is scheduled for September 29

Russia's Proton-M carrier rocket with a Mexican telecommunications satellite, QuetzSat-1, will be launched on Thursday from the Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan, a spokesman for the Russian Space Agency (Roscosmos) said.

"The launch of the Proton-M carrier rocket with QuetzSat-1 satellite has been scheduled for Thursday at 22:32 Moscow time [18:32 GMT]. The separation of the satellite from the carrier rocket has been slated for Friday at 7:45 Moscow time [3:45 GMT]" - Spokesperson.

Launch preparations for the "QuetzSat 1" satellite are being carried out, and on schedule

At the Baikonur Cosmodrome, work continues in preparation for the launch of the 'QuetzSat 1' telecommunications satellite .
Russian specialists are continuing to prepare the 'Breeze-M' autonomous booster (RB) which will be used in launching the spacecraft into orbit. 
The Proton-M Booster, designed to launch the spacecraft is ready for launch and is in storage.

ILS International Launch Services (ILS) and SES  today announced the execution of an agreement for the launch of QuetzSat-1 on an ILS Proton in 2011.
QuetzSat-1 is under construction by Space Systems/Loral on behalf of SES Satellite Leasing Limited in the Isle of Man.
QuetzSat-1, built by Space Systems/Loral on the flight-proven SS/L 1300
platform, is a high power Ku-band satellite that will be located at the orbital position of 77 degrees West.
