Hurricane Jimena spun toward the Mexican Pacific coast today as authorities warned that it could make land by the middle of the week.
The Category Four hurricane initially seemed on track to curve away from the coast, but the Mexican National Weather Service said it changed course.

Forecasters say Hurricane Jimena has strengthened to a powerful Category 3 storm in the Pacific and could get even stronger in the next day or two.
People in western Mexico and the southern part of Mexico's Baja California peninsula are being advised to monitor Jimena.
