Comet C/2009 Q4 (Boattini) was discovered by Andrea Boattini (Catalina Sky Survey) on the 26th August, 2009. The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 1st November, 2009, at a distance of 1.5 AU from the Sun.
