Confirmed:

A magnitude 18.1 supernova, 2009ix, was discovered on the 8th September, 2009, by the Lick Observatory Supernova Search, in an anonymous galaxy in the constellation Perseus.
The supernova is located in 0.5" east and 2.8" north from the center of the host galaxy.
As yet the type is  unknown.

Position (2000): RA 03 17 53.02, Dec +40°57'31".9

A possible magnitude 18.1 supernova was discovered in an anonymous galaxy in the constellation Perseus, on the 8th September, 2009.
The supernova is located in 0 east and 3 north from the center of the host galaxy.

Position (2000): RA 03 17 53.02,  Dec +40 57 31.9
