Biaystok is an eucrite meteorite (previously classified as howardite) which fell on 5 October 1827 in the area of Fasty and Knyszyn villages, NNW of Biaystok. The fall occurred at around 9:30 am. Several specimens were recovered. Read more
The Bialystok meteorite fell near to the town of Bialystok between Fasty and Knyszyn, in Poland, on the 5th October, 1827. A main mass of 4 kilograms was recovered. The meteorite is classed as a howardite achondrite, one of the rarest Stoney meteorites. The Natural History Museum at Humboldt University in Berlin has a fine example of the meteorite.
