An unusual find has since appeared in Vladimir: nothing less than a meteorite. Pensioner Anatoly Proschin discovered the meteorite in a border on his farm and brought the unknown rock to Vladimir astronomers, who identified his find clearly as a meteorite. All the evidence supports it: the brown colour, the melted outer layer. Microscope examinations confirmed the finding and reveals glasslike beads, which develop only in space. Now an expedition to the discovery site will set out soon, to look for further traces from space. Meanwhile Moscow scientists will make more detailed investigations on the stone.
