Millions of Android phones hit by 'Judy' malware

More than 36 million Android devices may have been infected with ad-click malware, a security firm has said.
Researchers at Check Point said they found the malware, dubbed Judy, on about 50 apps in Google's Play Store.
The apps contain code that sends infected devices to a target webpage, where they generate fraudulent clicks on the site's adverts to make money for its creators.
The infected apps have been removed from the Play Store.

Microsoft warns on previously unseen IE bug

Microsoft has released a temporary software fix for a newly discovered bug in its Internet Explorer web browser.
The problem, which affects hundreds of millions of IE browser users, is being used by attackers to install the Poison Ivy trojan.
This piece of malware is used to steal data or take remote control of PCs.

Several industry reports this week have uncovered a so-called tab-napping attack - which works by using JavaScript to switch the destination page in a tab after a few seconds of inactivity, according to a report in the U.K.'s The Register.

McAfee's security suite may ask you to deleted svhost.exe - which is a legitimate windows process - don't.
Deleting it will cause your Windows XP machines to continuously reboot.
The file is safe - leave it.

A new zero-day exploit targeting Adobe Reader, as well as 9.1.3 and earlier versions of Adobe Systems' Acrobat, drops a backdoor onto computers using JavaScript, Trend Micro researchers warned on Friday.
The exploit affects Microsoft Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, and Server 2003, according to Trend Micro.
