The magnitude 16.8 asteroid (7754) Gopalan will occult the magnitude 5.5 star Sigma Arietis (HD 17769), in the constellation Aries, at 05:41 UT, 13th December, 2009.
The event is visible from Hawaii and the US and will last for a maximum of 1.7 seconds.

Position (2000): RA 02 51 29.5869,  Dec +15 04 55.454

Asteroid 7754 Gopalan (1989 TT11) is a Main-belt Asteroid discovered on October 2, 1989 by S. J. Bus at Cerro Tololo.
