The AWB Remote Observing project has announced Big Dipper to Southern Cross, a two-night event on 8 and 10 January 2010 bringing the north and south hemispheres together to make one sky, one people. Telescopes in each hemisphere will highlight the beauties of their night sky, giving those in the opposite hemisphere an opportunity to enjoy them as well.
