Comet C/2010 J1 (Boattini) was discovered by A. Boattini (Catalina Sky Survey) on the 6th May, 2010.
The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 31st January, 2010 at a distance of approximately 1.60 AU from the Sun.
