News 8 received a few e-mails from people wondering about a bright object they saw in the sky early Monday morning.
One of the e-mails was from a woman who said that she was travelling near Greencastle, Franklin County, just before 5 a.m.

Possible Meteor Sightings Reported in Illinois, Wisconsin

Sightings of a bright orange and green light moving slowly across the skies early Monday morning has people in Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana talking about a possible meteor.
The National Weather Service confirmed they received calls from residents in Wisconsin early Monday.

Could it be another meteorite? 3 people called authorities about 4:10 a.m. Monday to report bright-coloured lights in the sky north of Janesville. Rock County authorities received 2 such calls - and the Dane County Sheriff's Department had one caller.

Reports Of Another Possible Meteor Sighting In Wisconsin.

The National Weather Service received reports of a possible meteor sighting over parts of southern Wisconsin early Monday morning.
The Weather Service said Rock County 911 dispatchers took calls from two citizens and one sheriff's deputy reporting a bright green or blue light, followed by a flash just after 4 a.m. Monday.
