Hundreds of people today watched their shadows disappear on 'Shanku Yantra' at 1228 hrs at Jiwajirao Observatory here as the Sun entered the sign of Cancer.
Jiwajirao Observatory Superintendent Rajendra Prakash Gupt said June 21:  is the longest day of the year with daytime being 13 hours 34 minutes and night being 10 hours 26 minutes.
