About 15 minutes after ET separation, Mission Specialist Michael Fossom saw about 12 metres away, what appeared to be a large 4 -5ft long bit of material, with what "appeared to be straps" attached, float away from the orbiter - .

The payload bay doors were closed at the time.

Congratulations on a good launch.

Analysis of the launch by onboard cameras show only a few small bits of foam dislodged.

MC1 course correction burn will not be required.

Currently the shuttle is over Australia, the ISS is over Europe; they will sync up on Thursday morning.
