Birth Of Britain With Tony Robinson

Tony Robinson sets out to prove that while we might not have had a hurricane, tsunami or avalanche in Britain for yonks, the British landscape is far from mundane.
While the British Isles may seem calm today, their past was as violent and cataclysmic as anywhere else on Earth.
In the Lake District, one of Britain's most popular tourist destinations, the Cumbrian mountains (including England's highest peak Scafell Pike) were formed by erupting volcanoes when the North American and Eurasian continents collided.
