NASA TV Coverage Set Cygnus and ATV Departures, Soyuz Launch Preparations

NASA Television will provide live coverage of the departure of the newest U.S. commercial cargo spacecraft to deliver supplies to the International Space Station and undocking of the fourth European Space Agency cargo vehicle.
Coverage for departure of the Cygnus spacecraft begins at 7 a.m. EDT Tuesday, Oct. 22. The spacecraft has been attached to the space station since Sept. 29 on a demonstration cargo resupply mission by Orbital Sciences Corp. of Dulles, Va.
Coverage for departure of the fourth European Space Agency (ESA) Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV-4) cargo spacecraft begins at 4:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28.

'Albert Einstein' freighter docks with space station

Europe's big freighter, the Albert Einstein ATV, has docked with the International Space Station (ISS).
The 20-tonne vehicle hooked onto the back of the 415km-high orbiting platform at 14:07 GMT.

ATV-4 ready to deliver essential cargo to Space Station

ESA's fourth Automated Transfer Vehicle, Albert Einstein, is ready for launch on an Ariane 5 to the International Space Station on 5 June from Europe's Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana.
Liftoff is set for 23:52 CEST (21:52 GMT), and three hours and four minutes later the vessel will separate from the launcher to begin ten days of health checks and orbital manoeuvres, bringing it to an automated docking with the Station on 15 June.

ESA's series of Automate Transfer Vehicles (ATVs) are the heaviest and most complex spacecraft ever launched into space by an Ariane. ATV Albert Einstien is set for launch on 5 June and will deliver the most diverse-ever cargo mix to the International Space Station -- around 1400 different items -- ranging from food, spare parts, crew supplies and clothing to scientific experiments and other vital items. Follows Albert Einstein in this video as it the spacecraft is built from component parts in Turin, Italy through to Bremen, Germany and shipped by boat to Kourou, French Guiana for launch.
