Comet C/2011 L6 (BOATTINI) was discovered on the 28th May, 2011, by A. Boattini (Mount Lemmon Survey).
The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 20th January, 2011, at a distance of 6.7 AU from the Sun.
