Two rocks would have fallen in 1871 (one weighing about 2kg and one 91g) but they were only discovered in 1895.

There is a presentation to the fallen stones Laborel in the Bulletin of the Society of Statistical Sciences and industrial arts department of Isère, the fourth series, Volume IV: "The meteorite, which the boards are attached faces anterior and posterior fell to Arnoux town Laborel (Drôme), June 14, 1871, at 8 pm, along with several other smaller stones. It was almost entirely covered with fusion crust and weighed 2166 grams. It was not until 1894 that MV Pâquier was fortunate enough to discover and notify us of the fine specimen of which a significant portion (weighing 882 gr.) Was acquired through Mr. Pâquier and conditions are quite exceptional for the collections of the Faculty of Grenoble (1). Our University carefully preserved this remarkable piece that is on display in the Gallery of Mineralogy and constitutes one of the main attractions. (No. D. 5693 Catalogue). "
