There was an immediate flow of reports concerning the Braunau meteorite, which is a hexahedrite showing no Widmanstatten structure.

The Braunau (Iron, IIAB) meteorite fell in Vychodocesky, Czech Republic, on the 14th July, 1847.
A total mass of 39 kg was recovered.

50° 36'N, 16° 18'E
