A loud noise was heard, and a cloud of dust seen at the spot where a mass of 6.5lb (2.9kg) was later dug up.

The Karloowala (L6 chondrite) meteorite fell in Punjab, Pakistan, on the 21st July, 1955.
A total mass of 2.95 kg was recovered.

31° 35'N, 71° 36'E
