The Walters meteorite fell at 3:45 P.M., July 28, 1946, about 113 miles west of Walters, in Cotton County, southwestern Oklahoma (in northeastern corner of NW. 34 Sec. 25, T. 2 S., R. 13 W.; Lat. 34'' 22' N., Long. 98 31' W.). The weight was 22.33 kilograms. The meteorite was purchased by the United States National Museum from Mr. Frank Moore, Route 5, Walters, Oklahoma. Read more
