Correction received from Mr Hugh Fraser regarding the fall of the Dandapur meteorite

A few days ago I made enquiries on the spot regarding the third fragment of meteorite, said to have fallen at the same time as the two fragments i sent in September. I find that no other fragments fell, and the police in their report evidently mixed up two stories about one fragment which fell on the border of a tank or Jhil.

The Dandapur (L6) meteorite fell in Uttar Pradesh, India, on the 5th September, 1878.
A total mass of 5.65 kg was recovered.

26° 55'N, 83° 58'E
