So far as is known, two meteorites have fallen in Uganda in recent years. The first fell at Maziba near Kabale, Kigezi District, on the 24th September 1942; the second was observed at Soroti, Teso District, on the 17th September 1945.

The Maziba (L6) meteorite fell in Southern, Uganda, on the 24th September, 1942.
A total mass of 4.98 kg was recovered.
