Starting on Thursday, Jan. 12, and continuing until Monday, Jan. 17 get your binoculars or that new telescope you received for Christmas and be outside at about 6pm local time and locate bright Venus.
Look above and right of Venus at about the one oclock position for the blueish colour of Neptune.

The waxing crescent moon is between the Pleiades and Hyades star clusters on the 5th January, 2012.

The Moon is near Aldabaran
