'Extra-terrestrial' matter sent for tests

Experts are yet to ascertain the composition of the mysterious "celestial" objects that fell on Chand Mohalla colony in Gandhi Nagar in east Delhi. Police sources said the material resembled a meteorite even as they were not ruling out the possibility of a prank. The incident took place on Sunday evening.

Piece Of Burnt Meteorite Falls On East Delhi Housetop

A burning piece of space debris, probably a meteorite, fell on the roof of a house in East Delhi's Gandhinagar area on Sunday evening.
The house owner immediately poured water on the burnt piece after which it broke up into small stones.
