Storms leave thousands without power across England
More than 16,000 homes and businesses in England are without power after parts of the country saw winds of more than 100mph (160km/h). About 10,000 properties are without power in the East Midlands and trees have fallen across the country. Great Dun Fell in Cumbria saw the strongest wind gust of 111mph (178 km/h). Read more
